I feel obliged to point out that 'Infernal Affairs' isn't a Japanese but a Hongkong movie. :)
I'm looking forward to see the first four movies on your list myself one day. But so far most of them haven't even made it to theatres here. I suspect I will have some difficulties with 'A Scanner Darkly' myself since all the talking with the graphics in the similar looking 'Walking Life' made my head spin.
