Warning: random snippets of stuff follows.
So the roommate got "True Crime: Streets Of L.A." for the GameCube.
It's a drivey-fightey-shootey thing with L.A. street names plastered on it.
There are a few recognizable buildings. So far, I've seen the Pacific Design Center (West Hollywood), the Beverly Center and the Cedar Sinai Hospital Complex,
the Grove (under construction), the Holiday Inn in West L.A. (it's cylindrical, 405 and Sunset), the Staples Center and the L.A. Convention Center (Downtown),
the Century City towers (upright prisms) and the Century Plaza Hotel (where the President stays when he's in town).
I've only played the game twice, so I haven't explored all that much.
The streets have the right names, but they're not the right width, and there are puzzling one-way streets that shouldn't be one-way.
I'll probably get it for my PS2 some time in the future, because dammit, it's a fun game! The graphics are pretty nice too!
The car and people models are way nicer than in Grand Theft Auto. The controls are probably better on the PS2, 'cause on the GameCube, aieeee!
(Crazy-ass freaky controller from hell!)
Tomorrow, I'm getting a haircut.
In other words, I'm getting my ponytail hacked off and joining the ranks of the short-haireds, again.
I'm looking forward to this greatly, as I am sick and tired of washing and tieing up 10 pounds of hair.
The procedure will be done by Ladi, our stylist friend in Beverly Hills.
It will cost us a few custom CDs. We have a most satisfactory arrangement.
I. Can't. Wait.
I'm also gonna do some clothes shopping. I need some new threads, badly.
