Misguided Undies: The Final Chapter
??:?? - Awake. Don't know what time it is. Someone turned the clock so I can't see it.
I get up and walk over to it. It's 7:41. I go back to bed for a bit.
08:00 - I get up and hit the shower. I dry off, fold up the bed, get dressed, take a
tablet of glucosamine-chondroitine and a glass of Dynamo, and I'm out the door.
09:05 - I'm at work. Computer is logged in, cellphone retrieved, work begins.
09:40 - Boss arrives. He brought donuts. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, donuts...
(fast-forward)
12:25 - The phone rings. It's the Imageworks mailroom. They have my package.
Do I want to come pick it up or should they simply deliver it this afternoon?
I opt to have them deliver it because, 1) I don't know where the Imageworks
mailroom is, and 2) I'm about to join my colleagues for a group lunch.
13:00 - Group lunch: Boss, me and 2 colleagues. We drivr to the Egyptian's for really
good deli sandwiches. I have pastrami turkey/cheddar on toasted baguette. OMGTASTY!!
14:10 - Back from lunch. Have a donut for dessert, a simple sugar-covered one, like a beignet.
15:34 - I go to the back room to check the mailboxes. My package is there.
I take it back to my desk, take a deep breath, and open it.
There's a sudden hissing sound and gas comes out of it! Oh noes!
Damned terrorists boobytrapped my briefs!! Curse you Al Qaedaaaaa... (thud)
Just kidding!
My briefs are fine. They're pretty much what I ordered. Whew.
I still want to inflict some bodily harm to UPS though.
But I don't want to do something petty, like crankcalling 1-800-PICK-UPS
I'm open to suggestions!
Plans for the weekend? Lots of computer work.
Special project, graphic design project, website update, etc...
Maybe a DVD movie or two. I have "Wholly Moses", "The Medallion" and "Kingdom Hospital"
checked out from the Sony library. "Kingdom Hospital" is the complete series (all 11 eps).
I'll watch the first two to see if it's any good, then decide about watching the rest.
Also, I'm down to one DVD left to watch on "Starsky & Hutch: The Complete First Season".
Heads-up for "Hellboy" fans: the Director's Cut DVD-set hits the streets next Tuesday!
Instead of mid-November, like I had been lead to believe. Just in time for Halloween!!
"Crazy costumes hey? Trick or treat!!"
I love that movie...
I don't know what I'm going to dress up as for Halloween.
I so wanted to be Hellboy, but I have neither the budget nor the means.
My hair is short, so no more Hagrid.
Maybe I can be a "Lord Of The Rings" character, but which one?
Argh...
Anyway, time to bail.
Later y'all!
Enjoy the weekend!
