zrath: Zrath-Smiley as a TRON program (Hello Kzinti)

Doop-dee-doo...

Not much was going on, until now.
I've been taking care of various things today in preparation for a busy next few days.
There's a bunch of stuff I gotta do tonight, including laundry.

Tomorrow, I will spend TurkeyDay with [livejournal.com profile] coyoteseven and his family. An old friend will hopefully make it too.
I have been put in charge of supplying the Coke Zero, so I will be bringing Regular, Cherry, and Vanilla.
Yote7 said he would bring MexiCoke. That's Coca-Cola from Mexico, with real sugar in it. It's smooooooth...

Friday, I'm not sure what I'm doing. I'm certainly not shopping since I be broke and stuff.
I was thinking of possibly going to the L.A. Auto Show at the L.A. Convention Center in Downtown L.A.
'Cause L.A. is where I live, you know. :D
With almost everyone rampaging and pillaging stores for Black Friday deals, I figure the Auto Show will be safe.
Maybe I'll be able to seat at the wheel of a Mustang and see if I fit in there.
Ditto the Challenger and anything else that catches my eye.

Saturday, I'm going to LOSCON, mostly to meet friends and hang out. And go party-hopping at night.
I may see the Incredible Spino And Spouse there. They usually go to LOSCON.
And I just learned that Joe Scalzi and Wil Wheaton will be doing a panel at 5:30pm, so I will check that out:

"Saturday, 5:30pm (ish) SUPER HAPPY FUN TIME WITH WIL AND SCALZI
Wil Wheaton and Joe Scalzi take to the stage and do... what? Hell if we know. We’re making this up as we go along.
But we might take audience questions and suggestions."

Wil's a funny guy, I don't know about that Scalzi guy though. :)
So the whole of Saturday is spoken for.

Sunday, I'm not sure. Tentative plans are to go see "Quantum Of Solace" with the Incredible Spino And Spouse.
If that don't happen, I may just go see it alone.

It rained last night, and it will probably rain sporadically for the next few days.
About time, says I! I wish it would have rained earlier so the houses of many people would have been spared.
We had some killer brushfires last week, as most of you probably saw on the news, or eyewitnessed for yourselves.
Lots and lots of houses burned to the ground. It was pretty horrible for all involved.

Gas prices continue going down. The cheap station I keep spotlighting is now at $1.93(9/10ths).
Or $1.94, as I like to round up the bullshit 9/10ths of a cent. Seriously, WTF is wrong with American gas stations?
Where does this 9/10ths of a cent crap come from? I mean, I know the age-old $XX.99/$XX.95 trick to make stuff
seem cheaper than it really is. Did I mention my parents used to own clothing stores and bought wholesale
merchandise themselves? Or that my dad's whole family was and is in the retail clothing business?
And not as salespeople either! So I have a rudimentary knowledge of commerce and business.
And it's also why my brother and I laughed our heads off when we went to see "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" and
the character of Watto first flapped on the screen. We have dealt with so many people exactly like Watto all our lives
(well, minus the wings and goofy alien physiology, but not the nose!)

You know, the soundtrack to the infamously cutesy quirky Japanese game "Katamari Damacy" really hits my multi-genre
buttons. I mean, there's soooooooo many different styles of music represented, and it's all COOL!!
I really should add that game to my PS2 collection some day, now that the bad memories have faded and I can appreciate
it for itself again. (Long story, not gonna get into it. Buy me a drink some time and I may tell you.)
"Lonely Rolling Star" still makes me a little weepy though...

Well, enough of that.
Happy Early Thanksgiving and catch y'all on the flip side!
