Well, looks like I won't be seeing "Watchmen" this weekend. I'm gonna be beeee-zay! (No, not Bizet!)
On Saturday, I've got my LUGOLA meeting at 11am and then I'm going straight to work at 1pm.
What's cool is that the LUGOLA meeting place is awesomely located 5 minutes away from work!
On Sunday, I'm going in to work as well.
So yea for overtime!

I'm not sure I've mentioned this already, so I'll mention it anyway.
eMusic now carries tunes from Dreyfus Jazz, which is Jean-Michel Jarre's label.
His first three albums are available: "Oxygène", "Equinoxe", and "Les Chants Magnétiques".
("Chants Magnétiques" is a pun. "Chants" means "songs/chants", "champs" means "fields". They're pronounced the same.)
Also available is the 1995 live album "Hong Kong".
There's also a double-CD of Jean-Michel Jarre music played by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
It's called "The Symphonic Jean Michel Jarre" and is on the Silva Screen label.
I'm not too crazy about it.

Aleve or Bourbon?

So I've been weaning myself off Aleve for the past few days.
Last Sundey, I began taking the normal adult dose of two tablets every 8 hours.
This means I took one dose at 9am, one at 5pm, and one at 1am before bed.
On Wednesday, I skipped the 9am dose because I was feeling fine. But the pain returned at 5pm, so I took that dose, and the one at 1am.
Thursday, I skipped the 9am dose again, and the pain returned at 5pm, though less severe than the previous day.
Today Friday, I skipped the 9am AND the 5pm doses, but I think I will probably take the 1 am dose: I'm starting to feel a twinge.
By the way, I don't know what happened Thursday, but I was out like a light. I slept through my alarm and was late for work.
Maybe it was some weird chemical reaction of the Aleve with what I had for dinner, and it turned the Aleve into a sleeping pill.
Weeeeeeird...

Several weeks ago, I was bitching about how cold it was out here in L.A. and how I was freezing my asteroid off and blablablabla.
Well, back then, I was sick, so I really felt the cold.
It's still cold out here and it's the same temperatures as before, but I'm healthy so I'm not feeling it.
I was driving with my windows down tonight and I was still warm! And it was, like, 55F out there. Heck, my window fan is on right now!
Just shows to go ya! :D

I was running around after work, doing errands, so I didn't have time to cook. I went to the Carl's Jr. drive-thru, bent on getting a chicken sammich.
The voice from the magic box asked me if I wanted to try a "Kentucky Bourbon Burger". Oh my goodness, what is that?!?!?!
A burger with 2 strips of bacon, pepperjack cheese, garlic-pepper onion straws, lettuce, tomato and Kentucky Bourbon glaze.
OH MY!!! OM NOM NOM NOM!
And since this is Carl's Jr., this concoction is available as a single burger, double burger, or Six-Dollar burger.
I opted for the double burger variant, and some lil' crisp burritos on the side. I drove this bad boy home and ate it. It was GOOD!!!
I had lost my taste for Carl's burgers and had been ordering chicken sammiches instead, but this puppy was tasty!
It's almost like a Jack Daniels glazed burger from Chili's or TGIF or Red Robin or any of those places.

Oh yeah, Carl's has hot dogs again, jumbo chili dogs this time, 2 for $3. I'm not a fan, I prefer sausages.
