Everybody loves a parade!

Sunday May 9th 2010 was many things, and among them, the 65th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day for Russia.
V-E Day is usually celebrated on May 8th in Europe, but it was already the 9th in Russia (and other Eastern
European countries) when the Nazi surrender was fully ratified in Berlin. So it's the 9th for them.
The Russians threw a bigger parade than usual, inviting troops from the US, UK, France and Poland to participate.
I found plenty of videos of the event on YouTube, but not a video that singled out the Allied contingent.
Me being me, I went looking for footage of the military hardware in the parade. :)
And now, I want to share with you!
Here's the mechanized portion of the Victory Day 2010 Parade in Moscow, in 3 easy parts.
Oh yeah, the videos are in Russian. That's okay though, I will tell you what most of those are. :)

Part 1: Tanks For The Memories (sorry!)

Beautifully restored WWII-era T-34 tanks, also WWII-era self-propelled howitzers. Then the modern stuff: "Tiger"
Hummer-equivalents, various APCs, T-84 tanks, rocket launchers, missile launchers, big missile launchers.

Part 2: My Aircrafts, Let Me Show You Them

Anti-aircraft units, the really big Topol-M mobile missile launchers, a couple more APCS and then...
OMGWTFHELICOPTERS!
Mil-Mi 8s carrying state flags, Mil-Mi 28 Havocs (look like Apaches) grouped with Mil-Mi 24 Hinds,
Kamov 50 Hokum (Black Shark) gunships grouped with Kamov 27 Helix ASW choppers (coaxial rotors W00T!), and then...
OMGWTFAIRPLANES!
Antonov 124 "Ruslan" transport with Sukhoi Flankers, the special Antonov designed for presidential use (a very
rare sight!) with MiG-29 Fulcrums, AWACS-style Ilyushin aircraft with Sukhoi Flankers, Ilyushin air tanker with
MiG 23 Floggers (I think) and I'm not sure what, a trio of noisy Tupolev Bear bombers, Ilyushin air tanker with
Tupolev Bear and Mig-29 Fulcrums, and a trio of Tupolev 160 Blackjack bombers (kinda like B-1 Bombers):

Part 3: Airplanes 2 The Sequel

Backing up a little to watch the Blackjacks go by again, followed by an Ilyushin tanker and a Blackjack and jets.
Next up, six Tupolev 22 Backfire bombers, followed by a mixed group of fighters, including Sukhoi 35 Flankers.
Then the Russian Knights acrobatic team in tight diamond formation, with fireworks! And to end the parade,
6 Sukhoi 25 Frogfoot ground attack aircraft (kinda like a Russian A-10 Warthog) with Russian flag color smoke.
And I'm spent... :D

I tell ya, this stuff really makes me miss the annual July 14th parades of my native France.
