A guide to local Christian businesses, and one example of such.

Is it like wiping your ass with silk? Only the Merovingian knows! :D

LOL!

as an aside, I'd be extra cautious using that directory. My cousin's husband was a co founder of a major so cal mega church, and an "investment banker" and "financial advisor"...he ran a ponzi scheme that fleeced a lot of money from the flock back in the late 80's, including from my grandparents. He was caught (persecuted for "being a Christian," of course! *snort*) served his time and now has another church in another country and lives on his ill gotten gains. Some predatory types like him use the "Christian businessman" facade as a way to get people's guards down. It's pretty effective, apparently.

Hmm. I see those around sometimes, or see the Ichthus™ symbol on businesses' ads or signs. It always lets me know where not to do business.

Not that I think I'm going to get screwed, but I'm very much against the idea of using one's religion as a way to get business, and the idea of preferentially doing business with people of one's particular religious bent. So I tend to avoid businesses that engage in or promote either practice.

Too true, unfortunately.

"Trust But Verify"--not just a slogan, but a way of life! :)
