"National Treasure" was amusing in a "Tintin" sort of way. I think the people in France handling the dubbing understood this because the film is called "Benjamin Gates And The Secret Of The Templars" over there. Just like one of the Tintin comicbook albums... (grin)
Heh...it must have been Cage week. I watched "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" and "8mm" with him in it a few days ago. I dunno...he seems to be in all these roles but can one really say what type of role he is suited for? He seemed to work decently enough in "8mm" but "Captain Corelli's Mandolin", he was coming up kinda short (at least a friend of mine who reenacts Italian said the uniforms and Italian equipment was pretty accurate and it surprised him to see that).
Pascal bought me "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" on DVD. That movie is gorgeous to look at.
Just watched that too! Yes, visually, it is a really awesome movie. If "Appleseed" had just taken the extra money to render hair as they did in "Final Fantasy", "Appleseed" would have been far more primo than it already is. But, IIRC, that is what you pay for cel-shaded animation.
