I'm only borderline nerdy.
And yes, I did see the Star Wars Christmas Special.
In French.
On French television.
And it wasn't called the "Star Wars Christmas Special".
It was called "En Attendant La Guerre Des Etoiles" ("While Waiting for Star Wars").
And we were all WTF? when we watched the thing.
It was just sooooo bad.
Oh well.

Okay, this was during the battle of Mars-La-Tour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Mars-La-Tour) in the Franco-Prussian war. Basically the big turning point in the battle was that the Prussians sent this huge brigade of cavalry charging square into what should have been suicidal (it wasn't), and the Emperor, who was around to watch it, came out with "It's magnificent, but it's not war." Have some trivia!
