It's Friday The 13th.
(Vendredi Treize)
I got paid (yea!).
It's raining (boo!).
Yeah, the weather went psycho on us. It was nice and sunny, with some big clouds.
I stepped outside at 1pm and was standing in the sun. And yet, small raindrops fell on me.
The sunset was interesting, with scattered clouds lit up yellow and red while rain poured down.
It was like that The Orb song...
"What were the skies like when you were young?"
And now, a little something for my bargain-hunting pals:
Deep Discount DVD is having a B1G1 sale (buy one, get one free) on 600 DVDs. It ends October 16th.
Click here to see what they have.
I've bought from them before and they seem decent. They have free shipping on everything.
It's almost Eex-Mas! DVDs make great stocking-stuffers! Additional blind consumerism here!
I've just ordered 4 CDs and paid $17 something.
I got "Airplane! (Don't Call Me Shirley Edition)", "Top Secret", "Minority Report (1-disc WS)",
and "The Italian Job" (the original with Michael Caine, Noel Coward and Benny Hill).
Scientist's daughter: "Who do you favor in the Virginia Slims tournament?"
Blind Dude: "In women's tennis, I always root against the heterosexual."
I love "Top Secret"...
Horry clap, time for to home get!
Later!

I think it is possibly my favorite funny movie.
I say possibly because "Blazing Saddles", "Young Frankenstein" and "Dr. Strangelove"
are also in the running, and that's some pretty stiff competition.
Nick's agent: "What do you say to him?!?!"
Nick: "I said I was going to put him on Montgomery Ward's mailing list."

So that's BT's latest.
It looks nifty.
I'll have to see if I can scrape up the bucks to pick it up.
I have Richie Hawtin's "DE9 Transitions", the latest evolution of his "Decks, EFX and 909"
continuous mix series, which also comes with a CD and DVD.
The DVD contains a couple of music videos and two versions of the mix:
one in stereo and one in 5.1 surround.
The visuals on both simply show the song titles being mixed and how much of the track
is being used by making the text blur and fade. It's kinda hypnotic.
Also, the DVD mix is 96 minutes long, while the CD version is 79 minutes.
