SPYDOR!!!

A board message on FurryMuck contained an interesting link.
It's a video of a jumping spider doing a mating dance.
Link (warning: makes unbelievably weird noises, contains creepy-crawlies)

I know [livejournal.com profile] octantis will love it!

That's freakin' awesome... :D

(As seen in the comments: "Come To Daddy (Motorcycle Spider Mix)")

That, and the video of tortoises having violent sex, made me laugh and laugh. Mostly the comments. The spider sounding like WWI comment just about killed me.

I thought it was cute! As usual the guy is there working his ass off to impress his lady and she... stands there and stares.
I wonder how they got the sounds. I mean... it had to be some sort of hyper receptive mic or something.
I saw one of these little guys just today, trying to shoo him from the house wthout hurting him. I only kill Brown Recluse spiders or black widows. Anything else I try and get out in one piece.

If you noticed that stick in the scene, and how the male spider was positioned as he climbed up... she was literally glued in place the whole time, with nothing to do except stand there and stare.

That spider has a lot in common with humans in that it was probably thrilled just to have her captive attention. "She's noticing me she's noticing me!"

It sounded like a hyper fast drumroll in places Image Incredible.
