I didn't like "Ghost Ship". The opening scene with the ginzu-cable was really distasteful and struck me as a "Final Destination" trick. I like spooky films, not gorefests. The acting was bad, the script sucked, the effects were excessive. I'm never watching another Dark Castle film EVAR!
Popcorn is really an American thing. I mean, corn originally comes from America. Popcorn is not part of the French moviegoing experience. Candy, chocolate, caramels, ice cream, sodas, those are French movie food. It's probably expanded since to include hot dogs and fries and possibly even popcorn.
