Random: Security Crab

(Darn it! Forgot to post a Random yesterday!)





This is a crab Beanie Baby.
He is sitting on my keyboard, guarding my computer at work.
He is the only Beanie Baby I own.
I was at one of the last true toy stores in L.A. (now closed, sadly) back in '98, browsing.
The Beanie Babies display was chock-full of cute lil' critters, though none really grabbed me.
Then I saw the crabs. They were all the same shape and size, and they all had the same colors.
But the placement and quantity of the colors on their shell varied from crab to crab.
I thought that was really neat.
I dug through the pile of crabs and picked the one I liked most.
I paid for him and took him home.
Only then did I look at the Beanie Baby biography tag...

His name is Claude.
He is a French artiste crab.
That's supposed to be paint on his shell.
(:face-palm)
What are the odds? :)
