Random (Sunday): M-16

Here's Sunday's Random:

It's one of those "you had to be there" moments.

I was at the 99 Cents Store ("Open from 9 to 9! Low prices are born here and raised elsewhere!"), buying some shampoo
(because I sure as heck won't touch any of the foodstuff they have), and I saw this little girl with a toy M-16.
She was there with her mom and what looked like her two older sisters, and they were of Middle-Eastern descent.
The little girl was dressed like a Disney Princess(tm) (is it Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella who wears the yellow gown?),
and she carried the toy M-16 with her all over the store. She seemed to like it a lot. Her mom tried to take it away
and put it back, but the little girl was having none of it! She was a princess and she wanted to KICK ASS!!!

It just struck me as really funny at the time.

That dress looks like Belle's actually, from the ballroom scene.

I could be politically incorrect and wonder if mom wanted her to take it back and swap it out for an AK47... But I won't. n.n

Ah yes, so it is. I'm not fond of that film, for purely personal reasons.
In my mind, nothing can eclipse upon the Jean Cocteau version.

No AKs, just the M16s. :)

Even though I wasn't there, I still think it's funny. And I had to laugh out loud when I read the slogan of the 99 Cents Store. :D

And you should think about setting up a stand-alone blog with the picture-a-day entries and include some google advertising. Maybe it adds up to a few dollars.

99 Cents Stores have a good sense of humor.
On the doors of their big 18-wheeler delivery trucks, instead of the usual "Driver carries no cash" warning (or on taxis "Driver only carries $20 in change"), it says "Driver only carries 99 cents".

I don't know, man. I'm running out of photos and I don't think I can keep doing one photo a day.
I may have to make Random more random, if you catch my drift.
We'll see...

Ah okay, that's obviously a problem. Since you were still busily making up for "missed" posts I somehow thought you had an endless supply of pics. ;)

Heh. Some of us have played with the stereotypical boys toys too, growing up. Like science fiction (although the genre's more co-ed now, lol).

How else is she to keep the boys in line. :D
