The weird thing is, my grandparents were real estate agents for a while and I don't remember them ever looking like they were child molesters, made of plastic, or trying for a career as televised preachers.

I use the "eyes are windows to the soul" aphorism as a guide while designing the different "races" in my fantasy-space-opera setting, and that's fairly close to how I envisioned the eyes of the Immortals and to a lesser degree the Gifted (humans with great inborn magical ability). (Therians in turn have larger-iris smaller-pupil "animal-like" eyes, while Artificers have white-on-black "reverse video" eyes.)

The only real estate billboard that ever made me take notice was this middle-aged, big-haired doxy who looked more like a whorehouse madam than a realtor. Her motto was "Sonia Means Service".

Sooooo....I get this image of going with Ms Sonia to one of the houses she's trying to unload. It's unfurnished, except for a bed in the bedroom. "What's th' bed f'r?" I ask as I hear the door close behind me. I turn around to see Ms. Sonia taking it off, murmuring something about "seal the deal".

Well...she's better looking than Peter Fonda in "Ghost Rider". Yeah... would I sell my soul to hit that?
