Elvis is doing okay.
Thanks to those who expressed an interest in his condition.
Boy, that sounded bad.
I mean, thanks to the people who care and comforted me.
Geeze, Mongo not good with words today.
Mongo only pawn in game of life.

Anyway, time to put some more pointless nattering in this thing. That's why I got it after all.
I went to see Daredevil last weekend. It was pretty good, provided you dig the whole classic corny comicbook thing. I do, so I liked it. I mean, it's a comic book, that's why the kid's report card falls out of his backpack, showing straight A's, while he's running away after seeing his dad rough up a local merchant (his dad who is his hero). I have no problem with that!
Ben Affleck's pretty good in this, and so's Michael Clark Duncan. And Keith David just has that perfect comic book face.
So yeah, I'd recommend it. Keep in mind it had a smaller budget than Spider-Man, so it's not as polished.

Looking forward to Dreamcatcher coming out soon, and not just for the movie itself, but also for the 9-minute Japanese CGI short that runs in front of it. It's based in the Matrix universe and it will appear later on a DVD compilation that contains other Matrix-inspired Japanese shorts. The DVD will be called "Animatrix".
I was not here. I did not say this.(Puts a finger to his lips)

Looking for some nice "new age with a brain" (aka ambient) music with a world music bent? Check out Bob Holroyd's "Without Within", a brand new release on Six Degrees Records. It's nice, and it's even got a wonderfully spaced-out cover of Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers" (I love that song!!).

Also cool, though slightly older, is Ben Neill's "Automotive", also on Six Degrees. Neill wrote a bunch of music for various Volkswagen commercials, and eventually realized he had enough material to put out an album! The stuff is funky fresh and rico suave, and not surprisingly enough, it makes for really good driving music! Check it out!

Well, it's 01:40 and my brother, the DJ, hasn't called yet. This means his gig must be going well. He's playing his weekly at Café Des Artistes in Hollywood. I drop him and his gear off and pick him up when he's done. If things are slow, he calls me around 01:00 for a pick-up. Guess I'll nap for a bit.
