Hi there and hoo-dee-hoo!
I'm at home and I am connected to the Internets/Intarweb/The Net! Woo hoo!
Still coughing a bit. Still hoarse.
Da weather was nice today.
I had lunch at this place down the street called "Leaf".
It was the sibling's idea.
I expected it to be a vegetarian place. I was wrong.
IT WAS A RAW VEGAN JOINT!!! AIIIIIIIIIIEEEE!!!
Yes, not only was it vegan, but it was raw food vegan. There was a series of icons on the menu:
cow head crossed-out, chicken crossed-out, bag of flour crossed-out, flame crossed-out.
So, no meat, no eggs, no flour, no cooking. Oy.
And the waitress was wearing leather pants. How strange.
Kidding!!!
Okay-okay, so I ordered a Bedouin Burrito and Pascal ordered the Mediterranean Medley.
They brought us two large wrap-style things wrapped in huge green leaves. Oh yeah, no flour.
The huge green leaves were collard greens. The food was actually pretty good. Mine was tastier.
Since we're both used to Mediterranean food: hummus, tahini, falafel and other stuff, we enjoyed this.
Still, it's pretty weird, and I bet a lot of people here wouldn't be able to deal with it.
Actually, the food in this place reminded me a bit of "02", Woody Harrelson's oxygen and raw food bar in Hollywood.
My brother used to DJ there on a regular basis, so I got to try the oxygen and the raw food.
The idea of raw food is that you prepare it in such a way that it doesn't need to cook.
Or the various foods react with each other chemically and cook themselves. It's pretty bizarre.
Some people think this is the way to physical and mental salvation.
Just in case, here's an article that debunks various raw food myths.
Oh hey, almost forgot! I gots pics of some of the new Lego sets! Including Episode III stuff!
First, Lego is reaching back into its own Scandinivian history and coming out with VIKINGS!!
How cool is that!?!?!?
And here are the Episode III Lego sets.

Fun stuff on the way!
Well, I'm off.
Enjoy the rest of your weekends.
