Eight Ways From Sunday
Well, I don't know about all y'all, but I, myself, have had a very productive day!
First, I slept until noon. Had to catch up on my back sleep from the whole week, don'tchaknow...
Second, I ordered and obtained a new futon mattress. It's very blue and thicker than the previous one.
It cost me a bit more than expected but it seems to be of much higher quality.
I'm going to sleep on it tonight for the first time. I'm fairly excited.
I've already laid on it and it feels nice. My brother also laid on it and concurs.
I washed all my sleeping stuff to celebrate.
I also washed myself just now, since my productive day included a lot of sweating.
Third, I got some more work done on the website, and got a nice HTML tip from the Elusive Spino.
(Yes! I actually talked to him on the phone! I was so shocked to reach him, I didn't know what to say!)
Fourth, I watched "Sin City" for the first time.
Wow, pretty neat stuff. Really nasty, but neat. Awesome performances all around.
I wonder if they're gonna make any more.
Fifth, went to Trader Joe's with the sibling and got our food for the week.
They were demoing cheesecake with a cocoa layer on top. OMGWTFBBQ YUM!!!
Dinner consisted of whole wheat fettucine with marinara and grated romano-parmesan, and grassfed
angus beef hamburger patties. The drinks were water and organic Italian pink grapefruit soda.
Dessert was belgian chocolate pudding for Pascal (I didn't partake because it's too STRONG!
Too chocolatey!) and really good tapioca pudding for me.
Sixth, I did a load of laundry, plus my bedspread.
Seventh, I'm about to organize all my burned and loose CDs into a binder, thus reducing the amount of
jewel cases cluttering up my drawers. I also downloaded three albums from e-Music, including the most
recent Underworld album, and I've burned all three to CD so I can listen to them at work tomorrow.
Eighth, I managed to squeeze in a trip to Toys'R'Us to look around and see what's new.
I hadn't gone to TRU since I started working at Naughty Dog.
I saw some rather nice Hot Wheels cars, apparently a tie-in with some Cartoon Network show called
"AcceleRacers" or something like that. None of the cars are actual real-life models, but they're
inspired by existing cars. One group called the "Metal Masters" or something like that has a lot of
insane Detroit-iron in its stable, like a long Chevy Nomad-style wagon with a huge engine in back,
and an elongated Boss Mustang-like muscle car. I nearly bought 8 of these suckers, but I don't really
have the room. Also, they're $2 a pop, twice the price of normal Hot Wheels. They're more detailed though.
Maybe later...
Well, that's about it for now.
The brother is going in tomorrow for his second dose of the new chemotherapy.
This one is letting his hair grow back, so he's got a little fuzz on his head.
I got the pictures from Fort MacArthur developed, so a future post might include a few pics from that.
My new futon is calling me, so I must away.
Goodnight and bonne nuit mes amis.
