HOPE OR DESPAIR! IT'S YOUR CHOICE!
As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am not allowed to vote because I am a Resident Alien with a permanent Green Card.
I started the process of applying for citizenship a couple of times, but weird stuff happened (the '93 L.A. Riots broke out
the day after I took the INS paperwork home!) or I didn't have the money (as with everything else in America,
it comes down to the Almighty Dollar.)
I'll take care of this eventually, but for now I am forced to live vicariously through others who CAN vote.
So don't disappoint me, people!! :D
GO OUT AND VOTE! NOW! OR TOMORROW!
Here's a general voter's rights resource compiled by the ACLU for those who might need it.
Just click on your state and peruse and/or print out the relevant PDF.
It doesn't tell you who to vote for, just how to exercise your right to vote.
This one is very important.
I've been living in the US for over 25 years and I have never seen a presidential election that mattered this much.
There is a lot riding on this one.
To paraphrase the closing words of "Choice" by Orbital, "hope or despair! It's your choice!"
