Post-Burn Existentialism

So, urrrrrrrrr, I haven't been posting much.
There's really nothing to report.
I get up (I'm still sleeping in the living room, since the weather thermostat has been stuck for over
3 weeks now on 77F, in my area at least, higher elsewhere in L.A.), I go to work, I go to lunch,
I go back to work, I go home, I swelter in my apartment oven until the A/C cools down the place,
I do computer stuff, I make dinner then watch some Netflix or "Babylon 5" (almost done with Season 5),
I take a shower to de-ickyfy, hang around on FurryMuck for a bit, then go to bed.
And I worry.
I worry about money mostly, about not having enough and about how to get more.
I'm still looking for a higher-paying job, and I'm going to look through my stuff for eBay-ables.
I also worry about life. Where am I going with mine?

France is closed for the Summer, as usual, so nothing is happening on the royalties front.
More paperwork needs to be completed to transfer Pascal's rights to me.
It just never ends...

The Man burned last night. I watched it with the help of a wonky stuttery QuickTime stream.
Hopefully, Sebastian did place some of Pascal's ashes in the pyre, as we agreed.
The Sibling loved Burning Man so much.
Still planning to spread the rest of his ashes at sea. Still looking for a boat to do so.
Jean-Louis is my only lead at this point. He has two friends with boats.
I'd like to do this in September, so there can be closure.

I'm going to buckle down and clean the bathroom today. I've just had no motivation to do it.
I'm also going to clean the kitchen. Somebody stop me! :D
This place needs to be sorted out and organized. The closet Pascal was using is still empty.
And there's still stuff to get rid off, like unwanted vinyl (already picked over by 2 record stores).
Lots of work to do.
And I don't want to do any of it.
But I have to.

And off I go...

What I'm gonna say is probably gonna sound stupid, but bear with me - I'm living proof.

Please stop thinking you don't have enough money, because that's exactly what you are creating. Instead, change it to something like, "all my bills are paid easily." What you concentrate on, you create more of.

But I do not have enough money.
Enough money for me means rent/food/bills paid.
And that's not happening right now.
I must find more.

I haven't heard anything about that office job.
No e-mails, no calls.
Maybe you can nudge 'em and see what's up?

Maybe you want to invest in a programmable thermostat so that your apartment can start cooling off (or heating up in winter) an hour or so before you get home.
