Here's a fun little something I dug up while gathering receipts for tax-filing purposes:



That is my original receipt for the purchase of an original PlayStation on 09/09/1995.
Which was the US launch date. I did not pre-order. I just waltzed in and bought one. I was lucky.
Anyway, look at the prices of the games!!!

Ridge Racer: $49.99!

Kileak: The Blood: $59.99! NOT a Japanese import! A US version from SCEA!

Tell me again that games today are too expensive!

I like the abbreviation. "Sonyplaysta" sounds like it could be short form for someone who plays Sony Playstations. :)
