You know... there was a really good bakery back in San Antonio called "La Madeleine." What's the actual place like?

Well, La Madeleine is a sleepy little suburb North of Lille.
The bakery was most likely named after the "Madeleine" cakes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madeleine).
Tasty little buggers!

Here's some info about my hometown of Lille (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lille), in case you're interested.

(I need a Fleur-De-Lys icon)

Just how profitable was the used jeans export business? It sounds one of those things you wished you'd thought of.

Well, my dad and I sold used Levi's 501 jeans he bought around L.A. to France.
We didn't deal with the really old, collectible Levi's, we stuck to normal button-fly shrink-to-fits.
We did that for about 3 years and when he passed away in 1991, I continued.
It was fairly profitable during that time, until 1992.
Things got progressively worse as the Japanese started paying more than market value,
and picking only waist sizes 27 through 33, leaving all the 34s and up behind.
Sellers would call to offer me 34s through 44s and I would politely decline.
I only bought the full range: 27 through 44.
Then the Thais showed up and paid even more than the Japanese, and took sizes 27 through 32.
It was a flippin' nightmare.
I tried diversifying with color jeans and corduroys, but things continued to worsen.
After my mom passed away in 1995, I gave up completely.
