Take California

Experiencing a little downtime at work, so here's a quicky entry.

It's almost lunch time. Hmmm, I wonder where Spino and I should go...

Every day, I bring about 4 CDs at work, especially if I have my Boodo Khan headphones.
Best headphones EVAR!!1!1!!
Today's CD selection:
"Acid Genetiks" - the underground techno sound of... Toronto?!?!
"MixMag Instant Party with Krafty Kuts (just add people!)" - thanks hatch!!
Nortec Collective "The Tijuana Sessions Vol. 1" - Techno from Tijuana.
Mouse On Mars "Autoditacker" - oddball Germano-Japanese jazz-dub-rock bizarreness.

Still waiting for the new Propellerheads album. I wonder if they're going to make a sequel
to their "Take California" track from the first album, and call it "Recall California".


It's a good thing I can't vote because, frankly, I wouldn't know who to vote for.
They all seem like incompetent and/or ineffectual scum.
So Arnold Schwarzenegger is now the new governor of California.
That should be an interesting experiment.

I <3 lunch!

For lunch, I wound up joining Spino and his coworkers on a trip to Mitsuwa, the local Japanese
supermarket with food court and bookstore. Got myself a nice chicken teriyaki and vegetable tempura
meal with salad and soup. Picked up a bottle of C.C. Lemon and a bottle of Calpis Soda.
The C.C. Lemon was no big deal: like barely carbonated lemonade.
The Calpis Soda was a mistake. It's the Calpis Water I like, not the Calpis Soda.

I also picked up some Pocky for dessert: regular chocolate, and new pumpkin flavor!
The Pumpkin Pocky is yummy, very creamy in taste. Looks like it's a Halloween special.

Overall, this was a tasty and different lunch for me.I enjoyed it.
