zrath: Zrath-Smiley as a TRON program (Hello Kzinti)

My Urge music tracks stopped playing on Monday February 5th.
Which is not bad considering the trial period actually ended on Wednesday January 31st.
So I had enough time to listen to everything I downloaded from the service and make the necessary notes.
Mouse On Mars still puts out some of the strangest and wackiest material... :)

This past weekend was "mouvementé" (full of movement).
On Saturday, I went to see my tax guy. We did all the paperwork but I did not file.
There's an offset on my IRS dossier that hasn't cleared yet and I won't file until it does.
If I file now, there's a good chance one or both of my tax refunds will be diverted.
So I must wait, and check the IRS computer every day.
Joy has been postponed.

After the tax prep, I had lunch at California Chicken Café. As Leeloo says: "Hmmmm, chiiickennnn GOOOOD!!"
("The Fifth Element" is now ten years old! Where does the time go?)
But their soda is still horribly, terribly, tragically flat.
Then I grabbed a couple of buses (no, not as mélée weapons. I'm a Kzin, not The Hulk!) and went home.
I spent some time with the sibling, rewriting and editing his novel in progress. There's a lot work to be done,
and it is all in French, so it's doing a number on my brain. We've been working on it and will keep working on it.
It's an exciting multi-storyline historical occult science-fiction work with multiple-volume possibilities.
Why, this could be the next "Dune"! Well maybe not. Maybe the next "The Stand".
At any rate, it will make the entire run of "X-Files" look like "Sesame Street". :D

The Hitler Channel was running the original "Planet Of The Apes" film. Pascal and I talked about what a great flick this is
and how they just don't make them as smart and intelligent as that anymore. And also how the remake was utterly worthless.
Bring back smart sci-fi films! And also make a few more witty ones.

On Sunday, DJ Bro and I went out to enjoy the weather (it's been warm lately), and run some errands.
We had lunch at McDonalds. I had an Asian salad and Chicken McNuggets. No fries, no burgers. I'm so proud of meself!
The Sibling had Nuggets, fries, burgers. He can get away with it, his metabolism burns oh-so-very-brightly.
Then we went to Best Buy to get some blank CD-Rs (Memorex, spindle of 50, $7.99! W00T!!).
They also had $4.99 DVDs, so we walked away with "Ocean's Eleven" (the Clooney version, one of my favorite recent flicks),
"Blast From The Past" (a sibling favorite), and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" ("The students think he's a righteous dude.").
We looked at the TV on DVD section and priced our favorite shows. Some of this shit is expensive!!
$85 for "Deadwood" Season 1, or 2 for that matter. The same for each "Babylon 5" season. What the hull?
Aside fron "B-5", I'd love to own all the "Batman: The Animated Series", "Superman: Animated", "JL" and "JLU boxsets.
The Sibling, on the other hand, keeps eyeing the "Deadwood" and "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea" boxsets.

We ignored the SuperBowl completely, and I managed to forget that Prince was doing the half-time, so forgot to set the VCR.
The Purple One rocked mightily and I was sorry I missed it. However, someone was nice enough to make an AVI available. Yea!
Prince can play any instrument in the world and is a magical being made of music. Just so you know.

"Oh no, let's go!!!"

Yesterday was my birthday. And also the birthday of Amp'd Mobile's CEO. (I work there, remember? :)
There was cake at work, and a guy who looked like a young Neil Diamond who sang and played the guitar. It was fun!
Birthday dinner was at home. Steak, mash 'taters con queso, Lemon Perrier, and Breyers neapolitan ice cream for dessert.
No gift. I will buy myself something later, when the joy is no longer postponed (see: beginning of this post).
I'd really like to get that Lego Slave I ship released last year. That was my planned Xmas present.

Edit: It seems joy is no longer postponed. The IRS computer says I'm clean. SuperduperhyperW00T!!!!
I'm seeing my tax guy tonight, we're filing, and then the sibling and I celebrate at California Chicken Café!
Debts will be taken care of and issues will be resolved.
Joy to the world!
